JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman's athletic department has announced the slate of promotions for the 2023 home football schedule.

Carson-Newman will open the season with a "Blue Out" against Reinhardt on Aug. 29 at 6:00 p.m. inside Burke-Tarr Stadium. Blue "New Era" t-shirts commemorating Ashley Ingram's first game as head coach will be given out to the first 500 students/fans. All fans are encouraged to wear blue for the game.
When Wingate visits on Sept. 21, the 1984 National Championship Team will celebrate its 40th reunion. For more information, visit the following LINK.
Barton's first visit to Mossy Creek on Oct. 5 brings a litany of events to gameday. The contest is a pink out in recogntion of breast cancer awareness. Pink pom poms and footballs will be given out prior to the game. Additionally, the third annual 5K run/walk in honor of late cheer and dance coach Christy Bowlin will take place the morning before the game.
Community Appreciation Day is set for Oct. 19 against UVA Wise. That day, the football program is offering free tickets to area educators, police/first responders and pastors/church admin staffs for the work they do in the greater Lakeway Region.
The regular season home finale against Anderon on Nov. 2 will be jam packed with festivities with Homecoming and Senior Day festooning the 3 p.m. kickoff. In addition to recognizing Carson-Newman football players in their final regular season home game, the program will also pay tribute to the armed forces by offering free admission to all veterans.
