CLEMMONS, N.C. — The Carson-Newman men's golf team is tied for second after shooting a score of 293 (+13) on Sunday in the Will Wilson NCAA Southeast Regional Preview at the Tanglewood Park Golf Club Championship Course in Clemmons, N.C.

The Eagles, who are tied with Wingate, are three strokes back of tournament leader UNC Pembroke (290). Newberry and Queens are close behind in a tie for fourth after each turning in a 295 (+15).

C-N junior Liam Ashby (Dublin, Ireland) sits atop the leaderboard with UNC Pembroke's Jonathan McCurry. Ashby fired a 1-under 69, as he and McCurry hold a two-stroke lead over a trio of golfers at 1-over par.

Freshman Jonathan Kim-Moss (Mississauga, Canada) carded a 73 (+3) and is in a tie for ninth, while Gavin Hay (Glasgow, Scotland) shot a 75 (+5) and is tied for 23rd. Jordan Patrick (Abingdon, Va.) carded a 76 (+6) and is in a tie for 34th, and Michael Horenkamp (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) shot an 81 (+11) for the Eagles on Sunday.

The second round of the Will Wilson Southeast Regional Preview will be played on Monday with the final round taking place on Tuesday.
