Harris Reveals 2024 Fall Schedule

Harris Reveals 2024 Fall Schedule

Bo Harris Interview

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – First-year head women's golf coach Bo Harris has announced the 2024 fall schedule, featuring a trio of new challenges for the Eagles.

Harris, who was named the new Eagles' women's golf program leader on August 20th, has quickly adjusted to the new position.

"It's been great," Harris said. "The staff has been very helpful and encouraging, trying to get me to fill in. I'm really getting a good lay of the land, so it's been good."

With the fall season quickly approaching, Harris has attacked the schedule head-on, diving into the courses C-N will play and preparing to see his team's development. However, he also recognizes that change is necessary for the team to prepare for the slate ahead.

"I think for the girls to be able to see the growth and for other schools to be able to see what we're doing now, the practices are going to be a little different than what they're used to," Harris said. "But with that and a lot of change, change can be good… I've been able to map the courses out and try to get an idea of how I want to approach the next few weeks."

C-N's fall schedule tees off at The Fall Kickoff at the Stoney Point Golf Club in Greenwood, South Carolina, on September 9th.  The first tournament will provide a new challenge for the Eagles and feature a competitive field headlined by the 2023 SAC Champions, the Anderson Trojans.

The Eagles face a quick turnaround on September 16th when they travel to The City with Spirit Fall Classic at the Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee. While C-N notched a 5th-place finish at the event in 2022, it serves as an unfamiliar course for the 2024 team.

C-N kicks off October with a familiar test on October 7th at the Leeann Noble Memorial at the Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Georgia. The Eagles finished 15th at the event a season ago, with two current Eagles competing.

Ida Petersen notched a 38th-place finish, shooting 14-over during the three-round tournament, and Madison Cline tied for 70th at 26-over. With experience in the course, the Eagles will have the opportunity for a high finish.

Harris' squad closes the fall season at the D2 Currahee Elite Invitational on October 28th at the Currahee Club in Toccoa, Georgia, providing another new opportunity for the Eagles.

While it is a challenging fall schedule, C-N returns a slew of talent, including juniors Ida Petersen and Madison Cline, sophomores Emery Fisher, Parker Miller, and Macy Bromley, and two newcomers in freshman Sydney Courtney and graduate Anaelle Picot.

With a healthy mixture of experience and youth, Harris believes his team is set up well for a solid fall season.

"This roster especially is experienced," Harris said. "They're going to know exactly what the pressures are going to be like at a college golf tournament. That's going to be able to transpire across the rest of the team."

The Eagles will tee off on the fall campaign on September 9th at The Fall Kickoff in Greenwood, South Carolina.
