Cline, Bromley Notch Personal-Best Rounds, Leading C-N to 6th Place at City with Spirit Fall Classic

CLEVELAND, Tenn.  – The Carson-Newman women's golf team carded a pair of rounds under par, propelling them to 6th place after day one of the City with Spirit Fall Classic.

"The first round was a great look into what this team is capable of," head coach Bo Harris said. "Unfortunately, we ran into a couple of mishaps as a team, but we are looking forward to getting back out there…  This is a very talented field, so to be sitting in the top six and knowing what we are capable of is very exciting for the future of Carson-Newman women's golf."

Macy Bromley paced the Eagles on day one, slotting in 7th after a 76-stroke first round followed by a personal-best 70-stroke round two.

The sophomore got off to a solid start on the front nine in round one, shooting a birdie to limit the damage of three bogeys, also notching five holes at par.
