JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman baseball team opens its 2015 slate this week. Prior to the first pitch, the Eagles debut their hype video.

Head coach Tom Griffin returns an experienced group led by senior Bo Ausmus (Jefferson City, Tenn.) who was named preseason first team All-South Atlantic Conference last week.

Seven of the unit's top eight hitter return to Mossy Creek this season and the top four hurlers in terms of earned run average will be back on the bump this season. 

Carson-Newman begins its season on the road at Limestone Wednesday at 2 p.m. before beginning SAC play at home Friday at 2 p.m. against the reigning league champions Catawba Indians.
