Rainy day causes baseball to postpone contest versus Crusaders

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - With rain falling earlier Tuesday morning and more showers expected later today in Mossy Creek, Carson-Newman baseball postponed its game Tuesday against Belmont Abbey. The game may be rescheduled for Thursday afternoon, but there is no official set date for a make-up contest.

It marks the fourth time this season that the Eagles have had to postpone a game due to weather and the first time time because of rain.

Carson-Newman is expected to travel to Tigerville, S.C. Wednesday to take on North Greenville, but there is an 80 percent of thunderstorms in the Palmetto state. Stay tuned to cneagles.com and @CNathletics on Twitter for the latest update.
