Dual match versus Newberry added to schedule

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman women's golf coach Suzanne Strudwick announced the addition of a dual match against the Newberry Wolves on Thursday, February 5^th at the Country Club of Newberry.

This will be the first dual match of the Sturdwick era for the Eagles and will kick off the 2015 Spring schedule.

The Eagles have competed in two tournaments this season against the Wolves. At the Smokey Mountain Intercollegiate in Sevierville, Tenn., the two teams finished in a tie for fifth-place. At the Etowah Intercollegiate in Etowah, N.C., Newberry finished first, while the Eagles finished one spot behind them in second. That was the tournament in which freshman Elizabeth England (Oakland, Tenn.) picked up the Eagles' first individual tournament win since 2009.

The dual match will tie off at 10:30 a.m. from the Country Club of Newberry on February 5^th.
