Eagles Fall to LMU, 8-1

HARROGATE, Tenn. - Lincoln Memorial University handed Carson-Newman its first South Atlantic Conference (SAC) loss by drubbing the Eagles 8-1.

Carson-Newman was outgunned by a talented Railsplitter team. The Eagles only point came at #3 doubles as juniors Chris Acker (Knoxville, TN) and Adriano Kira (Brazil) won by a score of 8-5.

The Eagles are now 4-2 overall and 0-1 in SAC play. Next up for the Eagles is an away match against Union College (KY) on March 11, 2010 beginning at 2 p.m.
