JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Men's Tennis took a 5-2 victory over Johnson (Tenn.) on senior day.

Carson-Newman (8-5) celebrated four seniors in a 5-2 win over Johnson (6-12) as Marnix Van Dalen, Paul Gayk, Gjorgji Jankulovski, and Matthew Saunders were all honored in a ceremony prior to the match.

"We're so proud of [our seniors]," Carson-Newman Women's Tennis head coach Nathan Gangelhoff said. "We're so humbled that they get to be here and be a part of our Carson-Newman family, we're sad to see them go but we're happy for where God is going to take them."

The Eagles got things going early with a clean sweep of doubles as Eagles clinched all three matches with set scores of 6-1.

Singles saw the spring debuts of Keegan Nelson and Aiden Standefer, and although both took losses resulting in the only two team points for the Royals, it was valuable experience for the young Eagles.
