Eagles Begin Stretch of Three Matches in Five Days

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Men's Tennis begins a stretch of three matches in five days, with two coming in conference play.
The Eagles take on UVA Wise on the road before returning home for the first home conference match against Lenoir-Rhyne, finishing up the stretch on the road against NAIA Bethel.
UVA Wise is 8-5, but carries an 0-2 mark in conference play with losses to Catawba and Limestone. Vanja Vojinovic is the top Cavalier in dual meets this season with a record of 10-2 in singles. Wise is ranked No. 44 in the most recent ITA poll.
Lenoir-Rhyne enters the week ranked 30th in the ITA poll and is 5-2 with a 2-0 mark in the South Atlantic Conference. Both losses have been back-to-back against No. 6 Flagler and Augusta.
Bethel, an NAIA opponent, faces Carson-Newman for the first time and is 2-4 with the lone wins coming in an October contest against Brescia and a sweep of Rust last week.
The Eagles, meanwhile, are coming off a conference victory at Limestone, and hope to keep the undefeated record through the week against the Cavaliers and Bears.
As always, events at the Charles A. "Buddy" Catlett Tennis Complex are free for the contest against Lenoir-Rhyne.
