JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — In an intra-squad matchup, the Blue Team came back from a 2-1 deficit at the end of doubles to squeeze out at 5-4 win over the Orange Team on Wednesday afternoon.
The deciding team point for the Blue was clinched by senior Jack Harvie (Statham, Ga.) as he defeated Blake Ryan (graduate student, Jefferson City, Tenn.) in a third-set tiebreak.
The Orange however started strong with victories at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles but failed to capitalize as the Blue stormed back to take four of the six singles matches.
The intra-squad match concluded the 2009-10 season, as the Eagles finished with a 9-7 record overall and 4-4 in conference play for 4th place finish.
