C-N Prepares for No. 7 Wingate, Emory & Henry

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Men's Tennis faces its biggest challenge of the season against Wingate, with a tune-up against Emory & Henry.

Carson-Newman is coming off a 2-1 week with an opening loss to No. 21 Purdue Northwest, before taking down conference opponents Tusculum, and Coker. They take on Emory & Henry at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25 at the Charles A. "Buddy" Catlett Tennis Complex, and hit the road for a Saturday, March 29 contest at No. 7 Wingate.

The Eagles sit at 6-3, 4-1 in the South Atlantic Conference with E&H visiting town sitting at 1-10, 0-7 in the SAC. C-N will face its biggest test of the season on Saturday visiting No. 7 Wingate who has yet to drop a match sitting at 10-0, with a 6-0 SAC record.

Emory & Henry has been struggling still searching for its first conference win on the men's side, the lone win for the men came from Johnson (Tenn.). The Wasps look towards Niclas Naedele who is the only male Wasp with more than one win this spring.

Wingate hosts Carson-Newman with both teams nationally ranked. The men are undefeated and ranked seventh with no conference opponent earning more than three team points. The primary singles in flights No. 1, 3, and 4 are undefeated this spring in Gabriel Constantino, Carlo Rosellini, and Federico Spinetta.
