JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Due to impending winter weather next weekend in McKenzie, Tenn., Carson-Newman Men's and Women's Tennis matches against Bethel (Tenn.) have been postponed.
Multiple outlets report sub-freezing temperatures in McKenzie, Tenn., on February 21. Carson-Newman Tennis head coach Nathan Gangelhoff and the head coach of Bethel, Derrick Hubble, have decided to postpone the men's and women's matches to March 15.
The matches will still take place at Bethel and are now sandwiched between the men's and women's tennis matches against Lenoir-Rhyne and Purdue Northwest, both of which are in Mossy Creek.
No decision has been made yet regarding the February 22 contest at the Charles A. "Buddy" Catlett Tennis Complex against Union (Ky.) for the tennis teams' home openers.
