JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Men's and Women's Tennis conference-opening matchup with Catawba has been postponed due to inclement weather on Wednesday afternoon.
With "unplayable conditions" according to the International Tennis Association (ITA) expected in Jefferson City on Wednesday, the decision was made by coaching staffs at Carson-Newman and Catawba to postpone the contest to March 30.
First serve times are expected to remain the same with the women beginning at 11:30 a.m. and the men starting no later than 2 p.m. at the Charles A. "Buddy" Catlett Tennis Complex in Mossy Creek.
The Women's team is 2-2 still awaiting its first conference match while the men are 2-1 also awaiting its conference-opener.
Both teams will turn their attention to Limestone in a road conference contest on Saturday, March 8. The women will begin at 12:30 p.m., and the men will start no later than 2 p.m.
