The fall 2014 schedule, which was released Friday afternoon, has the Eagles travelling to Kiawah Island and the golf club that has played host to the PGA Championship, as well as Rio Pinar in Orlando to tangle with a course that holds the Citrus Open. 

"Going to Kiawah and Rio Pinar in Orlando is a way for us to separate ourselves from other Division II programs," Carson-Newman head men's golf coach Randy Wylie said. "I believe we have one of the better schedules in the countries because it gives our kids a top level experience.  It's a competitive golf thing.  When you're going to play against competitive field at a top flight course – it's on."

The Eagles open the season as they have the last two years playing host to the Smokey Mountain Intercollegiate at the Sevierville Golf Club. 

"It's a great opportunity for our kids to start off the year on a positive note on a course we're familiar with and in the local area," Wylie said. "It's a unique event at the Sevierville Golf Club, which we love.  The level of competition will be terrific." 

The Eagles won their second South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship on the River Course in April 2014. 

Events at the North Georgia Invitational in Achasta, Ga. and the State Farm Intercollegiate in Tazewell, Tenn. round out the fall slate.

"Nobody's looking at this like the fall doesn't matter – and our schedule reflects that.  We have to bring it right from the start of the year. This will help determine our starting lineup and this schedule will be crucial for our NCAA ranking.  We're playing for a solid ranking once we tee off at the Smokey Mountain Intercollegiate – that will be in the back of our minds all season."
