Kiawah Island Invitational cut short by weather

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Carson-Newman's men golf second round of the Kiawah Island Invitational was cancelled due to lightning delays and darkness. With scores reverting back to first round totals, the Eagles finished the tournament in 16th place.

Sophomore Dalton Reese (Warrington, Ga.) was the highest-finishing Eagle. Reese finished the tournament tied for 23rd with a score +1.

"Although the day's stats did not end up counting, I was happy that we could get out and play another day," coach Randy Wylie said. "We need to cut down on the doubles still, but all in all, we played much better today."

Carson-Newman's next tournament will take place October 6th and 7th in the 2014 North Georgia Fall Invitational at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Ga.
