JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - From now until Jan. 2, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester.  Here are the fall nominees for Male Newcomer of the Year.  Monday, the nominees for Female Newcomer of the Year will be released.

The second annual Frosty Awards will take place in April and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Paul Ungur

In the first half of his season, the Romanian has set or reset 10 school records during his short time at Mossy Creek. He set the school's first two "A" times, guaranteeing the first appearance in school history at the NCAA Championship Meet in Indianapolis. Also, Ungur traveled back to his home country of Romania during the Fall to participate in the Romanian National Championships and he brought hardware back to Jefferson City as he was named the Romanian National Champion in the 50 Back, which was Ungur's third Romanian title.

Tanner Heath

The Murfreesboro, Tenn.-native started his Carson-Newman career off with a bang as Heath scored his lone goal of his freshman campaign in the first game of the year against Tampa. Heath also assisted three goals to finish the season with five points, which ranked 10th on the team and the highest-ranked freshman. During the season, Heath spent time playing in the midfielder and as a defender and filled in as the team's right back during the Eagles' run towards the SAC Tournament.

Chris Dansby

A transfer out of Murray State, Chris Dansby left his mark on the Carson-Newman defense as the program's third-leading tackler for 2013.  He tallied 54 stops with 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 tackles for loss.  The sacks and tackles for loss were both the most among Carson-Newman linebackers and defensive backs. Dansby had a season-best nine stops against both Brevard and Lenoir-Rhyne.

Andrew Hall

During the Fall portion of the Carson-Newman men's golf team's schedule, junior transfer Andrew Hall has positioned himself as one of the top performers on the team. He picked up two top-five finishes and another top-10 finish in the team's first five tournaments. He opened up his C-N career with a second-place finish at the Smokey Mountain Intercollegiate at Sevierville Golf Club. He finished ninth at the North Georgia Fall Invitational and followed that up with a third-place finish at the State Farm Intercollegiate in nearby Tazewell, Tenn.

Lachlan Dickie

Dickie was consistently the top finisher the Carson-Newman cross country team during the 2014 season. The Knoxville, Tenn.-native finished as the men's top runner in eight of the nine events and he finished second in the lone event he didn't place first. Dickie capped off his freshman season with a win in the Maryville Duel Meet at Greene Farm just outside Jefferson City.
