First round of SAC Championships cancelled due to rain

First round of SAC Championships cancelled due to rain

MARVIN, N.C. - Due to persistent rain that delayed the beginning of the round and proceeded through the duration of the first round of the South Atlantic Conference Championships at Firethorne Country Club, the round has been cancelled will not be made up.

The Carson-Newman Eagles were on the course when the decision was made to cancel the round, therefore the scores accured will be erased.

The tournament will now be decided over the course of 36 holes instead of the typical 54 holes. 

Play will continue begin on Monday morning with a double tee start at 11 a.m. 

Full results from Monday and Tuesday's rounds will be available on cneagles.com following the conclusion of each round.
