Final round of State Farm Intercollegiate rained out; Eagles finish in second

TAZEWELL, Tenn. – Due to overnight rain and unplayable course conditions, the third and final round of the State Farm Intercollegiate at Woodlake Golf Club has been cancelled.

With the scores from Monday's two rounds determining the final standings, the Carson-Newman men's golf team finished in second place. Host Lincoln Memorial's A-team took home top honors.

Two Eagles garnered All-Tournament honors as juniors Andrew Hall (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Nicklaus Kennedy (London, Ontario, Canada) both finished in the top-five. Hall finished the tournament in a tie for second and Kennedy placed in fifth.

Sophomore Dalton Reese picked up his second top-20 finish of the season by coming in 14th.

LMU's Braden Gaylon won the tournament, three shots ahead of Hall and two shots ahead of Tusculum's Brad Hawkins.

The Eagles conclude their fall schedule in two weeks at the 2014 McDonough Cup at Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, Fla.
