Tennis reschedules three matches

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman tennis coach Jean Love has rescheduled three of the four matches that had been postponed due to the weather conditions that flooded Mossy Creek during the month of February.

Matches against the University of the Cumberlands, Southern Wesleyan and Queens now have a new date.

The match scheduled against the University of the Cumberlands that was originally slated for February 13th but postponed due to weather is now set for Friday, March 6th, at 1 p.m.

The match originally scheduled for February 20th against Southern Wesleyan University was rescheduled to played this yesterday, March 3rd. That match is now set for a 1:30 p.m. start time on Tuesday, March 24th.

When the 2015 schedule first came out, Carson-Newman had its eyes set on Queens (N.C.) as the first opponent in South Atlantic Conference play. Snow and wintery conditions had different ideas. Now, the Eagles and Royals will face-off on Sunday, March 29th at the Carson-Newman Tennis Complex. That match will get underway at 1 p.m. The women's team had rescheduled a match against the Converse Valkyries for this date, but that will now be moved to a different date.

The only postponed match lacking a date is the March 1st contest against the Newberry Wolves. Once that date becomes available, it will be announced on cneagles.com.
