ROCK HILL, S.C.- Carson-Newman men's swim placed second in the South Atlantic Conference 2023-24 Men's Swimming Preseason Poll this afternoon, Oct. 4.
The Eagles collected 21 total points in the preseason coaches' poll, grabbing one first-place vote. The poll results closely reflect the outcome of last season's SAC Swimming Championships. C-N ranked second with 1,496 points, following behind Wingate who placed first with 1,952 points.
Wingate was voted the favorite again this year with 25 points and five first-place votes in the preseason poll. After C-N, Lenoir-Rhyne was voted third (16 points), Catawba earned fourth (14 points), Mars Hill grabbed fifth (eight points), and Emory & Henry rounded out the poll in sixth (six points).
Along with the results of the poll, the SAC released the 2023-24 SAC Swimmers to Watch. Carson-Newman men's swim had three swimmers listed including Arthur Gluzman, Asger Hartvig, and Daniel Ribeiro.
