Eagles voted No. 20 in CSCAA DII Top 25 poll

AUSTIN, Texas- Carson-Newman men's swim grabbed the No. 20 spot in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division II Top 25 poll this past Friday, Oct. 13.

The Eagles ranked 20th in the recent top 25 poll after earning 48 points from the 11-member polling committee. The purpose of the CSCAA poll is to rank top teams for the upcoming season but is not meant to predict top finishers in the 2024 NCAA DII Swimming and Diving Championships in March of the upcoming year. The Eagles finished last season at the championships in 16th place.

C-N is joined by one other South Atlantic Conference team in the rankings. Wingate earned the eighth spot in the poll with a total of 178 points, reflecting the Bulldogs' eighth-place finish during last year's national championship meet. The defending champions on the men's side of competition, the University of Indianapolis, grabbed first-place in the polls with 249 points. The Eagles will face off with U-Indy this season in a three-day meet beginning Friday, Nov. 17.

The results of the poll can be found HERE. Carson-Newman men's swim will host Lees-McRae at home this Saturday, Oct. 21 at 4:00 p.m. Stay up to date on cneagles.com.
