ROCK HILL, S.C.  – Senior forward Lauren Wade has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday morning.

The award marks her second-career SAC Player of the Week honors, while claiming her first of 2017. She previously was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Women's Soccer Player of the Week on Oct. 3.

Wade collected the fifth-fastest hat trick in NCAA Division II history in the win over Tusculum on Wednesday, Oct. 18 in the 3-0 victory.  It would be her fourth-career hat trick, and second-career against the Pioneers after doing it almost a year ago to date on Oct. 19, 2016.

"It didn't feel like it went that quickly, it felt probably like about 20-minute period," Wade stated about her three goals. "The adrenaline had kicked in and we were relived after that first goal, but it felt far longer than the three minutes and 30 seconds."

The Coleraine, Northern Ireland product leads the SAC in points with 27. Her nine assists on the year also lead the league and are good for fifth in all of D2.

With the Eagles win over Tusculum last week and the Wingate loss to Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday, C-N has marked their third consecutive SAC Regular Season Championship. It is the sixth time in league-history a team has won three consecutive regular season titles, including when the Eagles accomplished the feat from 2008-10. No team has won three straight regular season and tournament titles in the 26-year history of the league.

"It's great to win the conference again as a program for the third year in a row," Wade added. "It felt quite weird that we weren't playing on Saturday, but we have to regroup and refocus again for the upcoming week.

"We all know how important it is to finish off the season strong going into the postseason. These next two games are big for us."

C-N wraps up their final two games of the regular season this week with road trips to King and Coker.
