Eagles Finish Tied for 10th at Tennessee River Rumble After Strong Final Rounds

LENOIR CITY, Tenn. – Battling wet conditions, the Carson-Newman men's golf team delivered a solid performance to finish the Tennessee River Rumble tied for 10th at 24-over.

"We had three really good rounds today," head coach Randy Wylie said. "Definitely encouraged by the play of Nick Daugherty, Luke Stock, and Antonio Farinella."

Farinella led the Eagles, shooting a 73 in the final round to finish tied for 17th at 3-over. It was a consistent round for Farinella, shooting par on 13 of the final 18 holes. The redshirt senior shot over par on three holes but added two birdies to finish the round at 1-over.

Daugherty notched his best round of the tournament with a 72, tying for 27th at 5-over. The Roane State transfer was also consistent, shooting eight of the front nine holes at par or better, including a birdie on hole three to overcome a bogey to start the round. The back nine was similar, as Daugherty notched a birdie and a bogey and shot the other seven holes at par.

Stock jumped to 35th place following his best round of the tournament, shooting a 73 to finish at 6-over. Despite two bogeys on the front nine, Stock responded with two birdies to finish the front nine at even par. On the back nine, Stock shot all but one hole at par, and a bogey on hole 17 put him at 1-over in the final round.

Aidan Powter finished tied for 68th, matching his first-round total with a 78 in round three, finishing the tournament at 14-over. Despite a tough front nine including four bogeys and a double bogey, Powter responded nicely on the back nine, shooting two birdies to negate two bogeys and finish the round at 6-over.

Steven Haremski rounded out the Eagles, finishing tied for 82nd after an 81 in the final round, shooting 17-over for the tournament. On the front nine, despite shooting a nine on a par 4 on hole one, Haremski responded with two birdies on the next four holes. On the back nine, five of Haremski's first six holes were over par before finishing the round with three holes at par to shoot 9-over on the round.
