Eagles Close Out Regular Season, Finish 15th at Argonaut Invitational

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Carson-Newman men's golf team closed the regular season on Tuesday afternoon, finishing 15th at the Argonaut Invitational at 36-over as a team.

Luke Stock led the Eagles again on day two, shooting his third consecutive 72 to finish the event at even par and tie for 18th. It was a consistent final round for Stock, shooting 12 holes at par and nullifying three bogeys with three birdies, two of which were on the back nine.

Nick Daugherty slipped four spots in the final day of action, shooting a 76 in round three to finish at 8-over, tied for 56th. Starting the round with two bogeys, Daugherty rebounded well with four straight holes at par, followed by a birdie. Daugherty stroked two birdies on the back nine but couldn't overcome two bogeys and a double bogey.

Steven Haremski shortly followed, tying for 71st with a 76 in round three, finishing the event at 13-over. Despite five bogeys on the front nine, Haremski tallied an eagle and a birdie on the back nine to help his third-round total.

Elliot MacGregor and Antonio Farinella rounded out the Eagles, finishing 80th and 81st, respectively. MacGregor shot an 82 in the final round, putting him at 20-over for the tournament. Farinella tallied a 78, shooting 21-over in the final event of the tournament.

The Eagles will shift their focus toward postseason play as C-N preps for the SAC Tournament on April 20th-23rd in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
