Eagles Slot in at No. 11 in First Regional Rankings

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – With the postseason quickly approaching, Carson-Newman has been ranked No. 11 in the Southeast region in the first Division II regional rankings.

The Eagles join four other SAC schools in the Southeast region: Lincoln Memorial is No. 2, Coker is No. 7, Wingate is No. 9, and Lenoir-Rhyne is No. 10.

"The original rating looks about right to me," head coach Randy Wylie said. "We have a lot of work to do in our last tournaments."

So far this spring, the Eagles have notched a top-10 finish at the Ralph Hargett Invitational and, most recently, tied for 10th at the Tennessee River Rumble.

C-N has two tournaments left in the spring season, heading to the Argonaut Invitational on April 8th and 9th before the all-important SAC Championships on April 20th-23rd.

With a handful of conference foes also included in the rankings, C-N can make its case to move up in the regional standings with a solid showing in the final two events of the spring.
