WILMINGTON, Del. - After an 86-76 loss to Catawba on Saturday, Carson-Newman stayed put in the D2CSC Media Poll top 25, released late Tuesday afternoon. C-N checked in in 21st in the latest iteration, down one spot from the previous week.
C-N dropped out of the NABC Coaches Poll Top 25, but is still in the receiving votes section of that poll. Carson-Newman's 91-75 win at Emory & Henry was not included in this week's rankings.
Carson-Newman has been ranked for three consecutive weeks by the D2CSC, tied for the longest string of weeks ranked by either the NABC or D2CSC since C-N was ranked in three successive polls in the 1964-65 season.
One more week and Carson-Newman will match the 2017-18 team for the most appearances in a poll in school history. That team was ranked four weeks.
Carson-Newman continues a three-game road swing at Anderson Saturday at 4 p.m. Coverage on the Eagle Sports Network begins at 3:45 p.m. with the AEC Countdown to Tipoff on Mix 105.5 (WPFT-FM, Sevierville) and online at cneagles.com/live.
