C-N vaults into top 20 of media poll, ranked by coaches

KANSAS CITY - Carson-Newman's men's basketball program moved up to 20th in the D2CSC media poll and broke into NABC Coaches Poll top 25, the organizations released Tuesday.

This is Carson-Newman's first ranking by the NABC since winning 11 straight headed into the NCAA of the 2020-21 season.  

Carson-Newman is ranked 20th in the media poll and 24th in the NABC Coaches Poll.  

This is the fifth week that Carson-Newman has been nationally ranked under head coach Chuck Benson - and the first time the Eagles have been ranked in consecutive weeks under the Eagles' headman

C-N opens the doors to Holt Fieldhouse Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. against Tusculum.  Coverage on the Eagle Sports Network begins at 6:45 p.m. with the AEC Countdown to Tipoff on MIX 105.5 (WSEV-FM, Sevierville) and online at cneagles.com/live.
