COLUMBUS, Ga. - Due to the threat of inclement weather throughout the Southeast over the weekend, Carson-Newman's tipoff with top-seeded and host Columbus State has been moved up.
The Eagles and Cougars were originally slated to play at 5 p.m. Saturday. Their game is now slated to get underway at 3 p.m. All games have been moved up two hours for Saturday's action - Lenoir-Rhyne and Augusta will begin play at 10 a.m. from the Lumpkin Center. Catawba and USC Aiken will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the game preceeding C-N's, while Lincoln Memorial and UNCP wraps up the day at 5:30 p.m.
The tip movement slightly alters the broadcast plans for the day in a good way.
Carson-Newman's contest with Columbus State will be available both over the airwaves of the Eagle Sports Network on Mix 105.5 (WSEV-FM, Sevierville) and online at cneagles.com/live. The Domino's Postgame Report for that contest will be carried web only, with Carson-Newman women's basketball's Round of 32 matchup with Coker at 5 p.m. will take over the airwaves at the conclusion of the men's basketball game.
The broadcast day is slated to begin at 2:45 p.m. with the AEC Countdown to Tipoff on Mix 105.5 (WSEV-FM, Sevierville) and online at cneagles.com/live.
