WILMINGTON, Del. - After back-to-back road wins at Emory & Henry and Anderson, Carson-Newman moved back into the top 20 of the D2CSC Media Poll, released late Tuesday afternoon.
Carson-Newman is 19th in this iteration of the rankings, up two spots from the previous week. C-N dropped out of the NABC Coaches Poll Top 25 two weeks, but is still in the receiving votes section of that poll.
Carson-Newman has been ranked for four consecutive weeks by the D2CSC, the longest string of weeks ranked by either the NABC or D2CSC in school history. It bests a three-week streak Carson-Newman spent in the top 10 of the NABC poll in January 1965.
Carson-Newman has matched the 2017-18 team for the most appearances in a poll in school history. That team was ranked four weeks.
Carson-Newman wraps a three-game road swing at UVA Wise Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Coverage on the Eagle Sports Network begins at 7:15 p.m. with the AEC Countdown to Tipoff on Mix 105.5 (WPFT-FM, Sevierville) and online at cneagles.com/live.
