ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − Senior midfielder Morgan Gruenenfelder (Sweetwater, Tenn.), junior forward Trenna Howell (Oak Ridge, Tenn.), and sophomore midfielder Andrea Saevik (Froystadvaag, Norway) have been named to the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Women's Soccer Teams, released Tuesday
Gruenenfelder was named to the first team, while Howell and Saevik earned second team honors.
Under their guidance, the Lady Eagles went 11-7 overall and 8-1 in the conference, winning a share of the SAC regular season title.
Gruenfelder ranked fourth in the conference in goals scored (10), fifth in points (25) and eighth in assists (five).
Howell earned second team honors after finishing third in the league in goals scored (12) and fourth in points (28). Saevik earns second team honors after scoring six goals and distributing five assists.
Both Lady Eagles were named to the second team a season ago.
Eight members of this year's teams were members of the 2009 teams. Columbus State University junior forward Stephanie Lowery was selected as the Region Player of the Year.
The Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Teams are voted on by the sports information directors of the Southeast Region. The region is comprised of the Conference Carolinas, the Peach Belt Conference, and the South Atlantic Conference.
Members of the first team are now eligible for Daktronics NCAA Division II All-America honors.
The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition.
The 5-foot-6 junior midfielder from Sandy, Utah was selected as the co-Player of the Year in the Peach Belt Conference and was also a member of the all-conference team this season. She leads the Peach Belt in goals with 19, goals per game (0.86), points (43), points per game (1.95) and game-winning goals with seven. Lowery helped lead the Lady Cougars to a 19-2-1 overall record and a 9-1-0 conference record for a share of the regular season title. Columbus State fell to Lenoir-Rhyne in the second round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
