SUMTER, S.C. – The Carson-Newman women's tennis team put forth an impressive effort on day one of the ITA Fall Championships, dominating the singles and doubles court.
In the round of 128, two Eagles earned byes, while Sindija Manovska and Leah McBride earned tough wins in their respective matches. After dropping the first set, Manovska dominated the next two to move onto the round of 64. McBride cruised in her first competition of the day, winning in straight sets. Hala Awad and Edisa Hot earned first-round byes.

In the round of 64, C-N picked up where it left off, picking up three wins. Leah McBride earned a straight-set win over Augusta's Luciana Bejerano, while Sindija Manovska upset Columbus State's 8th-seeded Ann Maria Adams. Newcomer Edisa Hot dominated, also winning in straight sets. Hala Awad earned an impressive comeback victory in three sets.
