JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Women's Tennis has been ranked 50th by the International Tennis Association.

The ITA has released its most recent team rankings as of April 2, and it sees Carson-Newman ranked 50th, a drop from last week's positioning at No. 44.

Last week the Lady Eagles went 1-1, sweeping Emory & Henry but falling in 4-0 fashion to No. 22 Wingate.

Carson-Newman is led statistically by Maria del Mar Sarda Marti (Barcelona, Spain) who is a perfect 13-0 in singles in Mossy Creek since transferring from Quincy.

The Lady Eagles will have four matches with the big five-oh next to its name, against Lincoln Memorial on Apr. 2, Johnson (Tenn.) on Apr. 4 for Senior Day, No. 6 Catawba on Apr. 6, and Mars Hill on Apr. 8.
