C-N Earns Pair of Impressive Wins to Advance at ITAs

SUMTER, SC – The Eagles women's tennis team won a pair of matches at the ITA Fall Championships on Sunday and will be represented in Monday's round of 16 and the doubles quarterfinals.

In singles play, three Eagles fell in matches against high-seeded opponents, while newcomer Edisa Hot earned an impressive win to put her in Monday's round of 16.

(4) Dana Heiman (FLAG) def. (17) Hala Awad (C-N), 6-2/6-2

(17) Edisa Hot (C-N) def. Vaishnavi Venkatesh (CAT), 6-4/6-1

On the doubles court, Leah McBride and Edisa Hot continued their impressive run with a dominant win and will compete on Monday against Wingate's 2nd-seeded pairing.
