Carson-Newman Swim set to host back-to-back days this weekend

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.- Eagles set to host twice this weekend in the Maddox Pool.

Carson-Newman swim is back in the Maddox Pool this weekend as they host Milligan Friday night at 6 p.m. followed by Lees-McRae Saturday at 11 a.m.

The meet against Milligan was originally planned for earlier in the season but has since been rescheduled to this weekend.  

The Eagles raced in Atlanta, Ga. last weekend at the Emory Invitational. Carson-Newman swim placed second in the Emory Invitational with a combined team score of 995. The women's team ranked third with 482 points. The men's team ranked third as well with 513 points over the two-day invitational.

After returning home to host this weekend, the Eagles will head to the Tennessee Invitational the following week in Knoxville, Tenn.

"We've got a lot of racing in a little bit of time over the next few weeks with Lees-McRae and Milligan both being here, and then also the UT Invite coming directly after that next week. I look forward to seeing them step up to the challenge and race," head swim coach Ben Young said.

The Eagles will be in the Maddox Pool back-to-back days this weekend as Milligan and Lees-McRae head to the Mossy Creek. Carson-Newman swim will race tomorrow at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.
