Carson-Newman swim is graduating 10 senior women's swimmers after the season's end. Those seniors contributed heavily to the women's 155-42 score against Mars Hill last weekend.

Antonia Sanint produced three first-place finishes on the night. Individually, she won gold in the women's 50-yard freestyle in 24.37. Sanint also won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:07.34. She competed with fellow seniors Natalia Amano, Manon Compagner, and Rachel Peden in the women's 200-yard medley relay and finished first with a time of 1:46.95.

"It was glorious to see them go out in style. They swam really well, and I was really happy overall with how we performed," Young said.

This meet against Georgia Tech will be the last before the Eagles head to the South Atlantic Conference Championships in Charlotte, N.C. beginning Wednesday, Feb. 8 and lasting for three days.

"The mentality of it is that we aren't going to race anybody faster than that going into conference and nationals. Having the ability to see that level of competition prior to going into those meets, it helps a lot. I think it prepares them mentally and physically as well," Young said.

The Eagles will face off against Georgia Tech this Friday, Jan. 27 beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Ga. Stay up to date on cneagles.com.
