JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – No. 11/6 Carson-Newman (7-1, 5-1 SAC) returns home for its final home game of the 2024 calendar year when it welcomes Limestone (4-3, 1-3 SAC) to Holt Fieldhouse for a South Atlantic Conference contest tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

After going 2-1 on a recent road stretch, Carson-Newman returns to Holt Fieldhouse for its final home before the start of a new calendar year. The current 18-game home winning streak is the fourth longest active home winning streak in DII, and the best among teams in the Southeast region. The program is amid its second-longest home winning streak, the longest being a 27-game streak that spanned two seasons.

At home this season, Carson-Newman is averaging 92.3 points per game, scoring 92+ in all three wins. The Lady Eagles are averaging 26 assists on 34 made baskets in three home games and are shooting 46 percent from the field and 39 percent from long range.

The Lady Eagles are one of the best passing and scoring teams in the country. C-N's 88.5 points per game is fourth-best nationally and its 20.6 assists a night are second-most per game nationally. They are also making the second-most three-pointers in the league and own the second-best percentage from deep.

Scoring a team-high 17 points on Wednesday, Campbell Penland (Sevierville, Tenn.) moved up two spots on the all-time scoring list. The senior guard's 1,139 career points is 22nd in school history. Penland ranks first in the South Atlantic Conference in three-pointers made (22), three-point percentage (44.0) and three-point pointers made per game (2.75).

Emily Gonzalez's (Lenoir City, Tenn.) defense has been stellar through eight games this season. She has recorded three or more steals in five straight games. Her 25 steals this season ranks number one in the SAC and is 12th most nationally.

Carson-Newman has won its last four home games versus Limestone but trails the all-time series 6-4. Both programs have fared well in their home affairs in this series. Carson-Newman has scored 70 points or more in six straight meetings with Limestone.

The Saints started the year well, winning its first three games out of conference by double-digits but has since struggled. Picked to finish tenth in the South Atlantic Conference's preseason coaches' poll, Limestone has dropped three of its last four games to start league action. The one victory came in Gaffney, where the Saints were able to fend off AU by one.

Both of Limestone's losses on the road this season have come in league play and by double-digits to Coker and Mars Hill. The Saints have lost nine straight road SAC games dating back to last season.

Corey Fox's team is number one in the league in three-point shooting percentage, making 35 percent of their shots from long range this season. Leading the sharpshooting attack is Reagan Kargo and Graycie Poe, who both are shooting above 40 percent on 19 or more attempts.

Despite being tops in the league in three-point shooting, Limestone ranks near the bottom in field goal percentage, making just 37 percent of its shots this season and only averaging 68 points per game.

The team's top scorer and rebounder is Kalisha Hill. She averages 10.9 points and 8.7 rebounds per game this season.
