ROCK HILL, S.C. – For the first time in her career, Carson-Newman junior guard Jennifer Sullivan has been named player of the week by the South Atlantic Conference.

This is Sullivan's second career weekly honor after earning Tennessee Sports Writers' Association player of the week honors back on November 12th.

It's Carson-Newman's first weekly honor from the league office this season.

Sullivan helped Carson-Newman to a 2-0 week, winning by 30+ in both games versus UVA Wise and Wingate. For the week, the junior guard averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 assists, three rebounds and two steals. She scored the ball at an extremely efficient rate, making 55 percent of her field goal attempts including a 50 percent mark from three.

The week started with a 108-76 win versus UVA Wise on Wednesday. Sullivan went for a career-high 29 points on 11 for 17 shooting from the field. She was sharp from distance nailing five of her eight triples and dished out five assists in just 25 minutes on the floor. 24 of her 29 points came in the opening half. After missing her first shot, she would go on to make five in a row and three from three-point range.

The Knoxville native was terrific in the 88-54 blowout win over Wingate on Saturday. She recorded her first career double-double going for 17 points and a career-high 10 assists. She is the first Lady Eagle since Mika Wester in the NCAA Tournament in 2018 to record a double-double with points and assists.
