D2CSC Media Poll

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (6-0, 4-0 SAC) has moved into the top five in both national division II polls. The Lady Eagles moved up four spots in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll to number five and moved up three spots to number four in the Women's College Basketball media poll sponsored by D2SIDA, both being announced on Tuesday.

This is the fourth week in a row that the Lady Eagles ranked inside the top ten of either poll and the first time this season being ranked in the top five.

It's the first time being ranked in the top five since being in the top five for eight straight weeks (1/23/18-3/6/18) during the 2017-18 season.

Between both polls, Carson-Newman is one of just two teams in the Southeast region ranked. UNC Pembroke checks in at No. 17 in the media poll with a 5-1 record. North Georgia is receiving votes in both polls.

In coach Mike Mincey's tenure, the program has been ranked for 48 weeks holding 61-21 record when playing as a top 25 club.

C-N is off to a 6-0 start for the first time since the 2020-21 season.

The Lady Eagles are back on the floor on Saturday on the road against Anderson. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. Coverage on the Eagle Sports Network begins at 1:45 with the AEC Countdown to Tipoff on MIX 105.5 (WSEV-FM, Sevierville) and online at cneagles.com/live.
