JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (11-3, 8-2 SAC) checks in at number 22 in the latest Women's College Basketball Association poll and number 16 in the latest media poll, both of which were announced on Tuesday afternoon.

This is the ninth week in a row that the Lady Eagles have been ranked this season.

Carson-Newman slides from being sixth to now 16th in the media poll, while moving back from 15 to 22 in the latest coaches poll.

In coach Mike Mincey's tenure, the program has now been ranked for 53 weeks holding a 66-24 record when playing as a top 25 club. 

Carson-Newman is one of four teams in the Southeast region ranked by the WBCA. North Georgia is the highest ranked team in the region at No. 6. Coker and Belmont Abbey find themselves in the poll for the second straight week, checking in at no. 17 and 23, respectively.

Conference Carolinas schools Francis Marion and UNC Pembroke are the only two teams receiving votes in the coaches' poll from the Southeast region.

In the media poll, North Georgia is the highest ranked at number six. The only other ranked team in the Southeast region in the media poll is Coker at 23. Belmont Abbey is the only school in the region receiving votes.

Carson-Newman is back on the floor tomorrow evening for a rivalry showdown with Lincoln Memorial.
