After shooting a two-over 73 during his first 18 holes of the day, the Georgian shot a six-under 65, which was the lowest score of the round, to move to fourth on the leaderboard.

"Our team did not play well in teh first round; we seemed rusty after the winter break," coach Randy Wylie said. "In the second round, we bounced back with the lowest round of anyone in the field. Dalton Reese played particularly well finishing the second round with a stellar 65."

Reese opened the second round with a score of six-under through the first five holes, which featured four birdies and an eagle on the par-five 18. He finished the day with eight birdies and one eagle.

Freshman Grant Bodie (Newport, Tenn.) shot an even-par 71 during his first collegiate round of golf but followed with a seven-over 78 to tie for 34th. Hall opened with his spring with a birdie on the par-four 14 but a triple-bogey on the par-five 16 put him behind the scorecard. Hall's 75s are the two highest scores during the senior's season.
