Hall Snags Ping Honorable Mention All-America Honors

FORMBY, England - Carson-Newman men's golfer Andrew Hall has been named Ping honorable mention All-America by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Hall becomes Carson-Newman's first Ping All-American since 2000 when Mark Sweeney earned a spot on the honorable mention team.

The honor is the latest in a decorated senior season for Hall.  Earlier this season, Hall was named a semifinalist for the 2016 Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award.

This season, Hall (Knoxville, Tenn.) played 28 rounds and had a scoring average of 72.4 strokes. At the Saint Leo's Men's Invitational, the senior reset the South Atlantic Conference record for lowest three-round score with a total of 14-under 202. He tied his conference best mark the following week at the University of North Georgia Fall Invitational and won the tournament's individual medalist accolade.

Hall also received first team all-league honors from the South Atlantic Conference.
