@ Catawba (3-5, 2-0 SAC)
Despite a losing mark this season, the Indians have been successful in conference play, dominating their first two South Atlantic Conference contests. In its two SAC matches, Catawba has tallied comfortable wins over UVA-Wise and Emory & Henry.
In its match against Wise, Catawba swept doubles despite close matches with the Cavaliers, as each decision came by two games apiece. In singles, the Indians clinched four of the six matches, with No. 3 singles being unfinished.
In its win over Emory & Henry, Catawba found similar success in doubles. In the three doubles wins, the Indians won comfortably, taking the matches by at least four games. Despite dropping No. 1 singles, the Indians won singles No. 2 through 5 to clinch the match.
The Indians also have a non-conference win over Eckerd but losses to No. 16 North Georgia, Young Harris, Palm Beach Atlantic, and North Greenville. Despite the losses, the Indians remain unblemished in conference play, as two unbeaten teams will meet in Salisbury on Friday at 11 AM.
Vs. No. 24 Lee (4-1, 1-1 Gulf South Conference)
Lee has been stellar early on in the season, playing its way to a national ranking. The Flames started the season on a two-match win streak, outscoring King University and conference foe Delta State by a tally of 13-1.
Lee dropped its next GSC match against West Florida before winning its next two against Spring Hill College and Lincoln Memorial.
In the Flames match with the Railsplitters, Lee overcame losing the doubles point by winning four of six singles matches. The clinching point came in No. 6 singles, with Lee's Viktor Yanev taking down LMU's Harper Mills in three-set fashion.
Both the Indians and the Flames provide a challenge for the Eagles this weekend, and C-N kicks off at Catawba on Friday at 11 AM.
