CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Carson-Newman (1-2) could not follow up on its impressive performance on Thursday afternoon, falling in its first road trip against the University of Charleston (3-0), 4-1.
Due to time constraints, C-N and Charleston only played No. 1-4 singles and No. 1 and 2 doubles.
In singles, Marc Janse secured the Eagles' lone win of the day, securing a three-set win. Outside of Janse's win, the Golden Eagles did a solid job dealing with an Eagles lineup that has seen a fair share of success this season.
