C-N breaks into Golfstat Top-15

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman has moved up one spot since last week's ranking, moving into the 15th spot nationally as released by Golfstat Wednesday morning.

The Eagles jumped five spots in the southeast regional rankings, now sat at third.

After a first place showing at the McDonough Cup this week, Jake Headrick made an astounding leap to 62nd in Division II and 18th in the region.

Tom Forster moved to 27th in the region while moving down to 86th in the nation. He rounded out the McDonough Cup at a tie for ninth, just seven strokes behind Headrick.

With a strong third place finish at the Walters State Fall Classic, Alex Hutson made the trip to Orlando with the Eagles, notching a 27th place finish this week.  He now sits at 57th in the region and 200th in the division.

Jackson Tyler's tie at 46th in this week's tournament helped him move to the 67th spot in the region, 253rd in the nation.

The Eagles finished up their fall slate of tournaments at the McDonough Cup and now await the start of their spring schedule.
