Seniors Chris Acker (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Trent Slagle (Knoxville, Tenn.) each posted two points to lead the Eagles to a 7-2 win over visiting Young Harris on Saturday afternoon at the Carson-Newman Tennis Complex.
With the win, the Eagles are 1-0 on the year.
Slagle and Dusty Davis won at #1 doubles, 8-6. Slagle would also pick up a point at No. 1 singles, winning 6-4, 7-5.
Acker and sophomore Derek Holdway (Woodstock, Ga.) won at No. 3 doubles, 8-4, while Acker added a point at No. 5 singles winning 7-5, 6-1.
Fellow senior Adriano Kira (Brazil) grabbed a point for C-N at No. 4 singles with a 6-4, 6-4 win.
The Eagles return to action on Feb. 27 at home against Francis Marion University.
