Eagles fall at Union (Ky.), 7-2

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. — The Carson-Newman men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Union College on Tuesday afternoon.

With the loss, the Eagles fall to 1-1 on the season.

Senior Chris Acker (Knoxville, Tenn.) and sophomore Derek Holdway (Woodstock, Ga.) picked up C-N's lone point in doubles play with an 8-3 win in No. 3 doubles.

Sophomore Paul Birdsong (Woodstock, Ga.) claimed a 6-7 (6), 6-3, 10-6 victory at No. 6 singles.

The Eagles return to action today at home against Lees-McRae. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
