JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman Eagles and Lady Eagles each lost a South Atlantic Conference home match to visiting Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday at the C-N Tennis Complex. The final scores of both matches were 6-3.
The Lady Eagles got off to a good start winning two of the three doubles matches but could only manage one singles victory. The duos of Kylie Elliott (junior, Maryville, TN)/Taryn Cappadona (senior, Kennesaw, GA) and Katie Brown (freshman, Douglasville, GA)/Megan Wilson (sophomore, Maryville, TN) helped the Lady Eagles take an early lead. Only Stefy Stand (freshman, Equador) was able to come through in a three set battle to score the lone singles point for the Lady Eagles.
Lincoln Memorial took two of the three doubles matches and never looked back in route to a victory over the Eagles. Dalton Moore (sophomore, ???, VA) secured two of the Eagles three points with victories at #3 doubles with Derek HOldway (sophomore, Woodstock, GA) and #6 singles. The Eagles only other team point was a sinlges victory by Adriano Kira (senior, Brazil) at #4 singles.
