Eagles fall to Anderson, 8-1, to open SAC play

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — The Carson-Newman men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Anderson on Tuesday to open South Atlantic Conference play.

With the loss, the Eagles fall to 2-4 on the season.

The Eagles were able to muster only one team point at No. 2 doubles, as sophomore Paul Birdsong (Woodstock, Ga.) and senior Adriano Kira (Brazil) were victorious.

C-N returns to action at home on Friday against Mount Olive. Match time is set for 12 p.m.
