Eagles finish 9th at UIndy Invitational

Final Results

CARMEL, In.- The Carson-Newman women's golf team finished 9th out of 17 teams at the UIndy Invitational played at Prairie View Golf Club.

The Eagles had a team total of 311 on the final day of competition, totaling up 924 throughout the three rounds.

Graduate student Maeve Cummins was C-N's top golfer finishing her final round with a 2-over 74. She finished strong birding her last two holes of the day. Cummins' total score of 223 finished tied for 13th

The other four golfers competing for the Eagles team score all shot a 7-over 79.

Sophomore Caroline Nemes had a strong back nine that consisted of two birdies. She was 1-over on the back and 6-over on the front for her 7-over 79. She finished the tournament with a total score of 231, finishing tied for 33rd.  

Junior Ana Herrera finished her final nine holes of the day only 2-over in route to posting a 7-over 79.

Senior Ellie Haughton posted a 7-over 79. She parred 11 of her first 12 holes.

Graduate student Hannah Holland also shot a final round of 79. Despite a slow start, Holland made par on her final seven holes of the day. 

Playing as an individual, freshman Madison Cline posted an 81 on the final day.

Dallas Baptist University won the UIndy Invitational by twenty strokes. The hosts came in 2nd, with Findlay finishing third. 

Lee's Supuschaya Srinchantamit and DBU's Jordan Karrh tied for the lowest individual score of the tournament with a 207 total, 9-under par.

The Eagles return to the course September 26th and 27th for the City with Spirit Fall Classic played at the Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee.
